First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Commonwealth Health.
Switchboard Operator
It was a good interview. There was a lot of paperwork and I had to pass various clearances, which was no problem. The interview lasted about half an hour. The manager was very personable and asked exactly the right questions. My experience made me perfect for the position and, of course, I got the job.
- How have you handled working with someone difficult?
Graduate Nurse
I applied online and then I brought my resume to an HR rep. I got a call back within 30 minutes of that. For the interview, I spoke with the nurse manager first, and then I went back to HR. The nurse manager asked me questions about teamwork and my motivation for nursing. She also asked standard questions like introducing myself, and my strengths and weaknesses. The HR interview was pretty basic, with only one or two questions, some of which the nurse manager had already asked.
- Can you tell me about your weaknesses?
- How would you describe your weaknesses?
Student Nurse
After applying, I got a call from the nurse recruiter who scheduled an interview with me. It was pretty straightforward. Then, I interviewed with the Nurse Manager of the unit I was interested in. After that, I had to complete a background check. An offer was contingent on passing a pre-employment screening, which involved a urine drug test at a lab and a back screening where I had to lift boxes and push a stretcher.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Mlt
I applied via email and was contacted for an onsite interview. The interview itself was about an hour and felt pretty casual. After the interview, I got a tour of the lab and met the team briefly. It seemed like a positive experience. It's been a little while, so I haven't heard back yet.
- Can you describe what makes someone a good team player?
