Manager
It was a pretty quick process, not like some of the ones that take forever these days. Started with a screener, then I spoke with the hiring manager, and then did a panel interview with three people. I got the job offer a few weeks after that.
- How did you collaborate with different teams in your previous position?
Nutrition Educator
You'll start with some basic questions, like talking about yourself and your background. They'll also ask about your personal approach to managing a classroom, especially if a specific situation like xyz comes up.
- Tell me about yourself and your experience.
- Describe your approach to running a classroom in a situation like xyz.
- How do you stay organized?
VP of Programs
After applying, I heard back from HR pretty fast. They seemed keen on filling the role. Although I didn't make it, I think HR mentioned a third round, followed by reference and background checks for whoever got the offer. My initial chat with HR was over Zoom; she was upfront about salary, benefits, and what to expect. Then, I had an interview with HR and two managers. They asked a lot of questions, which makes sense for such a key position. Having three interviewers at once felt a bit overwhelming; usually, the second round is just the hiring manager. I got a rejection email later, which is better than being ghosted, which happens a lot these days.
- Can you share how your experience would translate to our programs and markets?
- Could you provide an example of a project you managed that was driven by data?
Associate
I was first contacted by an HR recruiter via email. Then I went through an initial phone screen, followed by a phone interview with the hiring manager which was very casual. After that, I had a panel interview with 3 staff members; it was still quite informal but they asked standard questions. The whole process was very slow, taking about a month and a half. I had to keep following up with them. I eventually got an offer, but negotiations got stuck because some details were communicated differently. They asked me to make some adjustments, including a slight pay increase, and the part-time HR person took a very long time to get back with a firm 'no', essentially 'take it or leave it'. I emailed politely asking for some compromise or more clarification on certain details, but they ghosted me after several follow-up emails. So, I didn't accept the job.
- What makes you want to join this company?
