Email and SMS Strategist
Before even meeting with you, they make you submit a project. Doing free work before even meeting with the team seems excessive, but because I'm on the hunt for a job, I decided to bite the bullet, figuring it was just a competency test. They then email me + let me know that I'm not moving forward, and it's a no-reply email, so I can't even get feedback as to why? What a waste of time.

- Describe your approach to creating email and SMS campaigns that boost customer engagement, conversions, and business results.

Paid Social Buyer
I went through 2 straightforward interviews before starting at Common Thread Collective. I was also given one simple assignment. The team at CTC was super nice and asked deep, interesting questions, taking time to see if I was qualified and if I'd be a good personality fit. They were really good about getting back to me, and the onboarding has been a total breeze.
- Can you share an instance where you made a mistake at work and describe how you resolved it?
Account Manager
It was a really fast hiring process. First, I had a 30-minute screening call with HR. Then, about a week later, I was invited for an in-person meeting. This meeting involved a panel interview with two HR representatives and a current Account Manager. Following that, I completed an exercise to demonstrate my email writing skills. Finally, I received an offer via email three days after the interview.
- Can you tell me about someone who inspires you?
- Describe a time you inspired someone and explain how you did it.
- What does being an entrepreneur mean to you?
Creative Strategist
This was by far the most time wasting interview experience I've ever had. The interview process was pretty straightforward but took a long time. I didn't mind this at first because I enjoyed meeting the team members and I've heard nothing but good things about this company. I went through 3 interviews and 2 assessments (one short and one long), which is a bit more extensive than what I'm used to, but again, I understood their need to be thorough and didn't mind. There was about a week's wait between each stage. However, the last I heard from them was when I turned in the long assessment (which took a few days). I presented this in an interview and answered some questions. They said they'd get back to me within a week. It has now been 2 weeks and I've heard absolutely nothing even when I tried to follow up. If you're going to make candidates go through an extensive interview process, please have the decency to at least send a rejection email instead of ghosting. With the amount of time and effort I put in for what I thought was an amazing opportunity, I am just thoroughly disappointed.
- What strategy pitch would you create for a client?
