First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Commodore Builders.
Human Resources
This was a pretty in-depth interview process where I got to meet everyone on my team and the senior leaders. Be ready for some group interview sessions, and make sure you've researched the company and its values beforehand.
- Could you explain your understanding of how different benefits programs operate, especially in relation to the position I was applying for?
Assistant Project Manager
A recruiter reached out to me about this job. There were two rounds of interviews with people from across the company, happening virtually less than a week apart.
- Can you share some details about your previous work experience?
Marketing
It was a really nice, relaxed interview. They mainly wanted to get a feel for my personality. They asked general questions about my background, like my education and past jobs. I didn't even get to use many of the tough questions I'd prepared for. The company did most of the talking, actually, explaining things about the business and the role. This was good because it felt more like a conversation.
- What makes you want to join Commodore Builders?
Assistant Project Manager
I went through 2 rounds of interviews, with about 4-5 people in each. Since I came from a sub-contractor background, they wanted to know how I'd adjust to trades I didn't know well, my reasons for a career change, and examples of how I've helped get through tough spots.
- How will I get accustom to the trades I am least familiar with?
