First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Comfort Systems USA.
Home Assistant
The interview process was pretty simple and all online at first. I had to spend about 10 minutes setting up my system for the online interview. After that, I had a good online interview, then an in-person meeting, followed by a panel interview, and finally, I met with the CEO.

Apprentice Electrician
I haven’t heard back from them yet, but I know a ton of people that work there and they love it. Hoping to get on in the next 2 months. They are great, I do know that their drug test is a pain in the butt. They require a lot of urine and get a lot of no conclusive results.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
Sales Representative
I had a phone interview that was about 45 minutes, and then an office interview with the Manager, Sales Manager, and VP of Sales which was about 1.5 hours. They asked several questions about sales situations and employee relations. It wasn't difficult. After I got the job offer, I had a personality and drug screen. The drug screen company asked if I took other medicines, and I mentioned pain medicine for my back. This led to a Fit To Duty test, which I passed. Even though I passed, they rescinded the job offer because of my back. They told me the day before I was supposed to start, after I had already quit my other job. It was disappointing how they handled it and the financial situation it put me in, but I guess it happened for a reason. I wouldn't want to work for people who treat others like that anyway.
- How would you handle various customer scenarios?
- How would you handle various situations with people in the office?
- How do you approach working with a team?
Human Resources Manager
I met with the President and two VPs. The President interview was mainly about personality and character. The VP interviews were about my past experience and how I'd contribute to the organization.
- How would you describe your personality and character?
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
- What contributions do you anticipate making to our organization?
