The interview process at Colortokens was a really bad experience, felt fake and the HR team seemed to lie throughout. After three rounds, HR said I was selected and asked for all my documents, like PF passbook info, before they could give the offer. I submitted everything, but they kept delaying. Then, unexpectedly, they scheduled another round with their SVP, which wasn't mentioned before. I had to do the interview, but the interviewer didn't seem interested. HR later said I wasn't selected, which was devastating. I feel like the whole process was fraudulent or they intentionally didn't select me and misled me for two months. It seems like companies like Colortokens are deceiving job seekers and wasting their time.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • After being told I was selected and submitting all my documents, they scheduled an additional leader interview which was not previously communicated, only to then state I was not selected, implying this was done deliberately.

So I was first contacted by colortokens hr and we set up a telephonic call. The telephonic round was pretty technical, focusing on Kafka and Spark, and lasted about an hour. After that, I was invited for a face-to-face interview. This was another technical round, also about an hour long, where the interviewer really dug into Spark, Kafka, and HBase, and also asked about my past projects. It was interesting because they were more focused on understanding my concepts rather than just looking for specific answers, which was a nice change. Then there was another round that was a mix of technical and managerial stuff, I think it was a data structures and algorithms round. This one focused more on Java and design patterns. A few days later, I had an HR round over the phone. It was a standard chat about my current job, my role, and what I do. Overall, the whole process was quite fast.

I had a recruiter call and then the first round was scheduled. The interviewer didn't join the call, so after waiting 40 mins, HR rescheduled it for the next day, and I cleared it. The second round was scheduled, and again the interviewer was late. He asked me to join the same link in the evening. This person asked me multiple times which state I was from, making me think he assumed I was from a specific state. I cleared the second round too and moved to the third round. This interviewer had no idea about the project, and I ended up asking most of the questions. I didn't get any proper answers. I waited for the results, but surprisingly, after almost 2 months, I received an email saying I wasn't moving forward.

The interview process was very well co-ordinated and managed all through up to onboarding with constant feed back and visibility at every stage. There were three rounds of interviews - customer success head, India head and HR head. Questions were largely related to fitment - relevant previous experience, knowledge in program / project management and cyber-security, thoughts on current role and responsibilities, skill set that I possess that will be useful, and similar other questions.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you explain what Earned Value management is?
  • Could you detail the specifics of program management within the SaaS industry?
  • What are the particularities of program management in Cybersecurity?
