First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Colonial Surety Company.
Project Manager
It was a good interview experience, the questions were pretty straightforward, focused on getting to know me. The interviewer was really knowledgeable and helpful, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a positive process and I'd recommend it to others applying.
- Could you start by telling me a bit about yourself?
Executive Assistant
Applied via LinkedIn to the CTO and got a message the next day for the 1st interview. It was a 30-minute interview. The interviewer seemed knowledgeable and knew what he was looking for. The 2nd interview was 1 hour long. After the interview, he said the results would be out in a week. I followed up 8 days later, and he mentioned they were in the process of offering, with HR working on the offer files. He clarified they had two openings. I waited another week with no word. After more unresponsiveness on LinkedIn, I emailed him asking for an estimated decision date, but still no response after 4 days, despite Mailtrack confirming he saw the email. This is a tough situation for a hopeful candidate just seeking an answer.
- If there were two assistants and you were overloaded with tasks, would you collaborate on task sharing?
- How would you handle a situation if a conflict arose between two departments?
Marketing
I had 3 interviews with Colonial in the departments I would be working with. They were flexible with meeting times because my schedule was busy. I got a quick response after they offered me the job.
- There was a personality test to take.
Account Executive
I met with two people who spoke well. The office was professional, and so were the interviewers. They were nice and asked thorough questions, and they also answered my questions thoroughly.
- Could you describe your responsibilities in this role?
