Behavioral Presentation

After submitting my application, I received a phone call to schedule an interview. They also sent me an email with directions, contact information, and other important details. Everyone involved, from the person who scheduled the interview to the interviewers (shift supervisor, superintendent, and assistant superintendent), was very nice, friendly, and accommodating. Following the interview, I was given a tour of the facility and had the opportunity to meet other employees. They all seemed very friendly and genuinely enjoyed their jobs and the work environment. Overall, it appears to be an excellent employer with a great work environment.

I was called in for a skills test for this position. We were given a packet of paperwork with instructions. It included a test on prioritizing tasks, a couple of letters, salary info for mock employees, and some other documents. We then had to take the priorities document, rank each task, and then explain why we ranked them that way. Another task involved producing a PowerPoint to give employees an update on changes to their health benefits. Another asked to create a doc for the county commissioners court to approve salary increases. Those are just a few examples. Then about a month later, I was scheduled for an interview. The interview lasted about an hour. Typical behavioral questions. I never received a call/email/letter saying I was not going to be offered the job. The interviewer gave me a card to follow up. I called with no return call. The job is still posted.
