We talked about different cooking types, methods, and using fresh versus processed items. Also discussed how to use fresh herbs to boost flavor. Then we went over some hypothetical scenarios, like what if you got shorted an item in your shipment or if something happened and you didn't have enough product, how would you deal with that?

I had a really thorough interview process. For the most part, they asked me about my past jobs, what I'm good at, and where I could improve. It was a pretty chill interview overall. I met the operations manager at a Starbucks nearby.

I first chatted with HR to go over my resume and background. Then, a regional supervisor called me for a more in-depth interview. They hit me with some unexpected culinary questions. About halfway through an answer, they cut me off and said they could tell I knew my stuff and how to cook. After that, we dove into more specific questions about cooking methods and the science behind them. I felt like I was really being tested on my cooking skills, and I guess I did well because they scheduled another interview.
