Behavioral Other

The interview process was incredibly disorganized. The head of engineering was frequently pulled away for other meetings during my interview. I experienced rude treatment and was ignored during lunch. It was also hard to get a follow-up. I was initially told via email that I was a strong candidate, but when I followed up two months later, I was informed I wasn't a good fit, with no explanation or rejection notice. Both the HR manager and the head of engineering behaved very unprofessionally.

I got there a little early, around 12:15 PM for my 12:30 PM interview. The person who was supposed to interview me met me at the gate. We then proceeded to have the interview outside at a picnic table, during which he was eating his lunch. It was really hot, like 94 degrees. After that, I went inside and met with some other people in an old conference room.

Behavioral Other

The service manager seemed really set on hiring vets and was disappointed I didn't have Navy experience. It felt like they were limiting their candidate pool. Even though the job description made me sound like a good fit, the manager focused on my lack of Navy background. The interview was super informal, with a lot of cursing, unlike typical interviews.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a formal panel interview. HR was really responsive and got back to me quickly with the offer and details. I got the offer about two weeks after the interview, and it was a good one. I'd say the interview was on the harder side of average. Just be ready to answer confidently, as you would for any interview.
