Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Coleman Research.
Associate
The interview process was straightforward but felt lengthy and tiring. The HR and hiring teams seemed to have an inflated sense of importance, stretching out the process unnecessarily and acting as if their work was extremely complex. They also offered a fixed starting salary without negotiation, citing equality, which felt like a cop-out and went against rewarding merit. The main takeaway is to focus on identifying talent effectively.

You'll need to be sharp and creative, think on your feet, and use real-life examples. Role-playing scenarios are pretty common, so show you're outgoing and approachable. Be precise when getting information and show you're reliable.

Associate
I first reached out to my current manager on LinkedIn and sent her my resume. After I moved to the city, we had lunch and then I interviewed with the head of Marketing in the CRG office. I felt comfortable and the process was more of a conversation rather than me being interrogated. It was one of the better interview experiences I've had.

- What are you looking for in a first job?
