It was a 4-step process. I had a call with HR, then the manager, and then a case study with 90mins prep and 30mins with the analytics team. I've only completed the first two steps so far. It seems like a pretty standard process up to this point.

It's a 5 step process, which might seem a bit much at first, but the team does a good job of making it easy and smooth. There's a case study presentation as the third step, and it's pretty easy to get through. Really liked the recruiting team!

So I went through Cohere Health’s interview process and honestly, I left with some real concerns about how they evaluate candidates and manage the whole thing. They first invited me for a Lead role, but then somewhere along the line, they downgraded me to a Senior role. This leveling change felt super abrupt and just didn't inspire confidence in how they handled it. The interview process itself was really heavy on process and, in my view, didn't do a great job of actually assessing analytical ability. The case study part was particularly rough: they give you only 90 minutes to prep and then expect you to present right away. It felt more like a stress test than a real way to check reasoning, analytics, or problem-solving skills. I felt like the whole setup was designed to make candidates fail instead of finding good talent. Communication was also a mess. Email responses were slow or all over the place, which just added to the feeling of disorganization. Plus, during one interview, a lead analyst was kind of condescending, which made the whole thing uncomfortable and unprofessional. Looking back, I wish I'd paid more attention to the early red flags like the leveling change and the lack of responsiveness. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this interview process, and it didn't leave me with a good feeling about the company's internal culture or future growth.
