First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cohen & Steers.
Summer Associate
I had a super day online. They also host in-person superdays though. I thought I did really bad but I did get an offer pretty soon after. It was 3 interviews: 1 with HR, and two with the area.
- Could you explain the difference between an object and a class?
- What's the difference between calling a function by reference versus by enumeration?
- What's the difference between fact tables and pivot tables in PowerBI?
Summer Associate
After a resume screen, candidates are invited to a super day, which can be done on Zoom or in person. I opted for the in-person option for the experience. The super day included three interviews, with two interviewers in each. It took about 2-3 weeks to receive an offer. They only hire one person per sector.
- Regarding your personal values, what is something significant to you that isn't listed on your resume?
- What information do you have about our company?
- What motivates your interest in this internship?
Summer Associate
I applied on my school's career site, then got a call for an interview. It was a single round with four interviewers who spoke with me one after another. The conversation was pretty casual and everyone was really nice. They let me know back pretty fast.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experiences?
- Describe how you handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- What motivates your interest in this particular internship opportunity?
