Behavioral Case

The interview process was laid-back, with interviewers mainly wanting to see how you’d cope under pressure managing multiple clients or projects. But, the communication at the offer stage was weak, which is funny given the role demands good communication. They offered a job, then put it on hold saying there wasn’t a project for it. It would’ve been better if they’d told candidates earlier that the job was taken, instead of making them wait and wasting their time. That said, maybe I dodged a bullet since the team doesn’t seem to have the communication skills they expect.

Very effective. They gave a very clear explanation of the company. The position and role were explained. They explained the company culture. The interviewer asked questions based on my interests and the resume from my application. You get all the necessary information in the very first interview.

So this was a campus placement thing. First, there was an online test, like, there were about 200 people from my college and other colleges too. It had like 6 to 7 sections on aptitude, DSA, oops, and OS, plus one easy coding question. If you were lucky and got shortlisted, they'd call all the selected students on a specific day. They gave a 1-hour pre-placement talk, which was fine, totally understandable. But then came the group discussion. Honestly, it was a terrible GD. No real criteria, no communication, barely anyone even speaking good points. It felt more like a debate. They don't even look at you or acknowledge who's speaking properly. God knows how they're selecting people. Especially for a technical role, this GD part is just, like, the company is an idiot. Who knows what basis the HR or whoever is shortlisting on? Even if I spoke less but made good points, I wasn't selected. My friends who had a great GD, even with random people they were with, were told it was good, but the person they wished them luck with didn't get selected. Seriously, on what basis are they selecting? Looks? Who knows the criteria.
