First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cognism.
Sales Development Representative
The interview process had 3 steps, and I made it to the final one. The first step was a video call, the second was a phone call, and the third was an in-person presentation I had to give to three people. At the very end of the process, I got another offer and let Cognism know. I ended up taking the other offer, and I never heard any feedback from them, so I just went with the other one.
- What motivated your interest in a sales career?
Sales Development Representative
After submitting an online application, there was a phone call to discuss the role further. This was followed by a 30-minute Zoom video interview. Then, a 45-minute Zoom interview occurred, which included a 15-minute presentation delivered to more senior staff. They informed me of their decision by the end of the day. It seemed like positive news was communicated around 4 PM, with rejections coming as late as 7 PM after other calls were completed.
- What makes you a good fit for this role and for sales?
- Why are you interested in sales?
- Why Cognism specifically?
Sales Development Representative
It was a disrespectful experience. I had a final round with a very immature CRO. She was significantly late and didn't seem to care, too preoccupied with her own work. She asked me rude questions, seeming to look for reasons to end the interview and reject me. My overall impression was that they're looking for people who act like teenagers or first-year university students. The environment felt incredibly immature and cliquey.
