First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cogent Data Solutions.
Salesforce Developer
The interview included a communication assessment, a group discussion, HR, technical, and managerial interviews. It was pretty tough overall, though the experience was just okay. The mandatory three-year agreement added to the difficulty.
- In the group discussion, resumes were reviewed, and participants were asked for self-introductions, then to select a topic and speak on it immediately.
Java Developer
I interviewed with this company back in October 2017. The process had 3 rounds: a written test, then the 1st interview, and finally the 2nd interview. Four days later, they called me, saying I got the Java Intern position and could start the next day. I turned it down though because they were offering zero salary for a 6-month internship, and I'm a fresher. Apparently, they hire freshers and don't pay them for the first 6 months, after which there's a 2-year bond.
- 60 objective questions from Java, Servlet, Jdbc, Hibernate, reasoning, aptitude in the written test.
- Questions from Java SE, Java EE, JDBC, Servlet, JSP and Spring Framework in the interview rounds.
Inside Technical Sales
It was an on-campus interview for MBA students at my college (IPE). The interview itself went well, but the follow-up was disappointing. The initial job offer package was completely different from what was ultimately offered, which was ridiculous. Even my college advised against accepting it and stated they wouldn't recruit from this company again.
- How do you compare yourself against others?
- In X years, where do you see yourself?
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Intern
So there were three rounds in the interview process. The first round was a written test that covered aptitude as well as Java, J2EE, and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate. After that, the second round was a technical interview focusing on Java. Finally, the third round was with HR.
- Core Java questions were asked, specifically covering collections, exception handling, and oops concepts.
