So, the whole process started with an initial chat with HR over the phone. Then, there was a personality test and some assessment to get through. After that, I had a second interview with my direct manager, followed by a third interview with the VP in charge. They also mentioned a 2-week education period. It was emphasized throughout that the job involves about 48 weeks of travel annually, with workweeks running from Sunday evening to Friday evening.

I had to reschedule the interview twice and they even missed one of the interviews, leaving me waiting for a call that never came. Finally, I spoke to the recruiter, but I wasn't what they were looking for. It would have been great to know this sooner, like a month earlier, instead of me constantly following up with them. The job requires 100% travel and working or flying on Saturdays and Sundays. It sounds like a really tough schedule. I just hope they pay people enough for it.

This was supposed to be a 'pre interview,' and I was fine with that. But after going through it, I get why they have it. The person I talked to briefly asked me some questions: Where's your nearest regional airport? Are you vaccinated? They mentioned I'd be traveling more than I'm home and asked if that was okay. Then they told me the base pay was $40k, with potential to make $125k-$140k annually. Then they asked if that was okay... I said 'No!' My impression was that they'd expect me to be constantly working to build their business, putting family stability at risk with non-stop travel, hoping it might pay off. It was the most robotic conversation I've ever had in this kind of process. Wow!

I had a first phone chat with the HR Director, and then for the second round, it was in-person. The second round involved meeting the Marketing Director and two team members. I was also meant to meet the Operations Director, but after waiting around for 30 mins out of an hour and a half, I had to leave for a call. It was a bit annoying that this interview was set up a week prior and then there was so much waiting for someone to just "pop in". I liked the people I did meet though and felt good about the company, but making me drive out and then wait shows they don't really care about my time.
