I got messaged multiple times on LinkedIn which looked promising, but the HR interview was just okay. They have localized compensation, so the salary on job postings is only for US citizens in SF. For me as a European, they wouldn't pay that much, and most of their team is from Armenia anyway. I found this misleading. The whole process felt very dehumanized, they just wanted me to do a 90-minute take-home assessment without talking to anyone from the tech team first, going straight from HR to this. The worst part was when they sent the assessment link, it included documents about onboarding and asked for a government-issued ID and full access to my mic and camera. This felt like they wanted to test their product on me disguised as a job. I didn't do it because of the ID request. I'm not sure if this is even legal. I wasted more time writing this than interviewing with them. They might just be gathering data for their product. I don't think it's worth your time.

I just went through a coding interview, and honestly, it was a pretty good experience, even though I didn't end up getting an offer. The problems they asked were tough but fair, totally in line with what I've been working on. It felt like a good match for the job. I was also really impressed by how fast they responded after each step. No long waits, which made it feel professional and like they valued my time. And even the rejection was polite and encouraging, which you don't always see. It felt like they saw something, even if it wasn't a perfect fit this time. It left me with a good overall impression of the company.

The interview process had 4 parts. First, a pre-screening with a coding challenge that I did on my own. Then, a screening call with HR. After that, a technical interview, which was a coding challenge done with interviewers. Finally, a finalist interview that included some coding and some talking. I really liked CodeSignal's process, even though I didn't get an offer. They gave me a really good, personal guide to get ready for each part. Plus, they're making a product to make tech interviews more fair, and they used it for my interview.
