The interview process kicked off with an AI screening, then a 30-minute chat with the hiring manager. After that, I had a 45-minute slot to deliver a mock QBR to the hiring manager and another team member. This was followed by 30-minute meetings, individually, with the VP of CX and the CRO; these were initially planned as a joint session but were split to keep things moving. To wrap up the interviews, I had a final 30-minute meeting with the CEO. I got the offer two days later. The whole thing moved pretty fast, and when I needed to pause for a family emergency, CodeSignal was really understanding and worked with me. I always felt informed, and the recruiter was great at keeping me updated and prepping me. The AI assessment and presentation were tough but fair, and it was cool to see the actual product during the AI part. The live interviews with the HM and the three execs were super informative and comfortable, offering a chance to really connect and understand the team. I got a good vibe for the company culture and felt the leadership was on the same page. I was really impressed overall.

My interview experience with CodeSignal was great. The process was thorough but moved fast after the initial take-home assessment. The hiring manager was involved in every stage and gave good feedback after each round, so there were no surprises. It started with a take-home assessment, then about a week later, an interview with the hiring manager. After that, I had an interview with the SVP, another take-home assessment, and a presentation with the hiring manager and team. The last step was a 30-minute chat with the CEO, which was cool and showed CodeSignal values an open door culture and leadership involvement in hiring. Everyone was nice, engaged, and proud to work there, giving me a strong impression of a collaborative, supportive team culture.

Technical Other

The interview process involved zero human interaction, which is strange for a Customer Success Manager role focused on communication and relationships. Instead of a typical intro call with a recruiter, there was an automated email inviting me to an 'AI assessment.' This wasn't a real conversation; it was a series of three timed AI chats, each lasting only five minutes with a distracting countdown timer. Once the five minutes were up, a warning appeared. It felt like candidates were being used to test their AI model rather than being evaluated for a job. The job description didn't mention this, and there was no follow-up from a person, just an automated rejection. The whole experience was impersonal and seemed designed for data collection, not hiring. It felt disrespectful of candidate time and not serious about hiring.
