The interview process consisted of an initial phone call, followed by an in-person interview. The questions were pretty basic, like asking about a time you overcame a challenge. They were understanding that as an intern, you might be nervous, so they made an effort to make you feel comfortable.

Had a recruiter phone call and then a technical video interview with the manager. The recruiter was good at communicating throughout. The hiring manager ultimately needed a different skillset. The interactions were polite and professional. Seems like a good place to work based on my brief interactions.

So after they look at your resume, the first step is a 20-30 minute phone chat that's mostly behavioral. Then, if that goes well, they'll have you come in for an in-person interview which is kind of a continuation of the behavioral stuff. An HR person will chat with you about your resume and see what roles in software engineering you're most interested in.

The interview process was pretty standard. I was met by HR when I got there. I went over some personality test that no one cares about. Then, I met the team for the technical interview. The team seemed nice enough. I answered all of their questions right, apart from a trick question about DNS doctoring. They asked me about things I can talk for hours about and I told them I didn't like Trump. That's when the mood changed in the room. I can tell that I offended them. We exchange pleasantries, after that, and I went home. A few days later, I spoke with HR and was told that I didn't get an offer because I didn't answer any of their technical questions correctly, which was bull. They're Trump supporters and I offended them, but you can't dismiss someone for that. So, they made up a phony reason.
