Consultant
It took some time but it was pretty straightforward. I went through several rounds where the number of interviewers kept increasing, but everyone was really nice and prepared, so I didn't feel too intimidated. They focus on the qualifications that are important for the role you're applying for, so make sure your experience backs that up!
- What is your understanding of our company's business?
Senior Consultant
So, there were two main interview stages. First, a group phone interview, and then an in-person one-on-one interview. After that, they made an offer, and we did a little negotiation. The longest part was actually the background check, which was a Public Trust US government one, done after I accepted the offer, before I started.
- Can you tell me about your experience leading large projects?
- What is your background in government contracting?
- Describe some challenges you've faced at work and how you handled them.
Manager
We start with a phone screen, then it moves on to in person or video interview with the hiring manager and some team members. Depending on the job and where you are located, you might be brought in for an in person interview at our DC office.
- Tell me about challenges you've faced in your career and how you handled them.
- Describe any innovative or creative solutions you've come up with for work challenges.
- Be prepared for logic questions.
Analyst
It was a three-round process, pretty standard. They seemed to care more about people skills than technical skills. Each interview had at least three people, not counting the initial phone screen. They want you to be yourself, your authentic self, because they believe hard skills can be learned later if you get the job.
