First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CobbleStone Software.
Software Engineer
I had a really great technical assessment and felt confident and fine about my interview. They gave me a test to resolve, and I was able to do it perfectly fine. The whole process was smooth.
- Can you explain what OOP is and what JavaScript is?

Video Marketing Specialist
The interview process involved two stages: first, a chat with the HR director, then a meeting with the two managers I would report to. The team was very welcoming, and I was asked to do a practical editing task to showcase my abilities. Communication was prompt throughout.
- Can you elaborate on your previous experience?
IT Applications Developer
I sent my resume by email and then had a phone interview. After that, they scheduled an in-person interview where I had to fill out an application and include professional references. The in-person interview had three interviewers. I think it went okay, but I wasn't sure about a few answers. They said they'd email me their decision in two weeks, but I didn't hear anything. After another week with no contact, I emailed the HR person at Cobblestone Software. She didn't reply to my first email about my application status. I sent another email the next day, and they sent a generic response saying I didn't get the job. It was unprofessional, especially since they promised a decision and I had to follow up multiple times.
- How would you handle an angry client over the phone?
Software Support Specialist
I got a 10-minute preliminary phone interview from their admin assistant. They called me back the next day for an on-site interview. I wore a business suit, but the manager showed up in a t-shirt and shorts, which was funny. The questions they asked were good and I thought it went well. I didn't hear back after that, so I called and emailed them three times over two weeks, but got no response or rejection. It felt unprofessional, and I think they might have been ageist.
- Can you explain how to sum a column of numbers in Excel?
