First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Coastal.
Associate Consultant
It was a pretty standard process. Started with an HR screen, then a 1:1 interview, followed by a short presentation. The people were friendly and things moved fast during the interviews, though getting the final decision took a little while. All in all, it was a pretty typical experience.
- Can you tell me about your experience using Salesforce?
Project Manager
I had a few phone and video chats with some of the leaders and the people who would manage me. I guess it helps if you know someone there because my experience might have been easier. It was pretty smooth overall and took about two months.
- Can you discuss your past experiences and provide context on your resume and history?
- Could you elaborate on your background and career path?
Analyst
It was a pretty simple screening process. First, I had a 30-minute call with the recruiting team where they asked me some behavioral questions. After that, I had a 1-hour functional interview with the manager of the team I'd be joining. They really emphasized how much they value willingness to learn and long-term commitment, which makes sense since they invest three months in training you at $15/h and want you to stick around.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What motivates your interest in becoming a Business Analyst?
- Describe your personal strengths and weaknesses.
Consultant Project Manager
I initially spoke with a Managing Director over the phone to see if I was interested. That call went well, and they wanted me to talk to a technical architect. I had that call too. I sent thank you emails after both, and followed up with the MD about a week later. I never heard back, not even a rejection. They both asked how I found out about the company, hinting that most hires are referrals. But still, no response at all.
- Can you tell me how you learned about this opportunity?
