I applied for the Senior Security Consultant (FedRAMP) role. I got an email with an interview request. I had a phone interview with a recruiter, then a phone interview with the Sr Security Consultant Manager. I wasn't hired for that position, but they thought I might be a fit for another role, so I had a second interview for a different position. I wasn't hired for that one either, but the recruiter was nice and let me know verbally. The FedRAMP position needed more technical FedRAMP skills than I currently have, and I get that they need to keep high standards.

I applied online and they got back to me a few months later. There were about 4-5 interviews in total, and I thought they all went really well. The whole process took about 2 months, including phone interviews and an onsite interview. Sadly, I didn't get an offer 2 weeks after the final interview. The HR team was super professional during the whole thing. It's a shame HR doesn't make the final call, I really wish I hadn't wasted my time or their time on a 2-month process with no offer. It felt like the Seattle office only hires a specific age group and race.

The hiring and interview process with Coalfire was incredibly smooth and quick, the fastest I've experienced. The whole thing wrapped up in under two weeks, and I heard back about moving to the next stage within an hour after each interview. They were great about not repeating questions, which was a nice touch. There were 3 rounds in total: a recruiter call and then two panel interviews. It felt pretty fun and laid-back, and even when I messed up on some questions, they were really understanding and non-judgmental. It seems like they really focus on the whole person and don't just expect you to be a cybersecurity genius.
