So I had this interview for a Sr Technical Analyst II role. The hiring advisor was super rude and didn't seem interested at all. They asked some basic questions about my experience. I was supposed to hear back about a decision within a week, and they told me to follow up if I didn't, which I did, but still no word. Oh, and there was this survey they wanted me to fill out before the interview, but I almost missed it because the email was so text-heavy.

It was a quick and easy interview. They asked me if I lived nearby and if my location would impact my ability to commute to work. I confirmed that it would not be an issue at all.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was intense. It included behavioral questions, technical challenges, and a presentation to showcase why I'm the best candidate for the role. During the reference check, they asked for my direct manager's name and the reason for termination/layoff. My feedback is that if someone's termination was standard and without cause due to structural changes, the company should still consider them if they were a strong candidate. Asking too many questions about pandemic terminations might discourage the candidate and lead them to decline an offer. Reference checks are important, and I hope this process can be improved.
