The interview process was pretty simple. First, I had a phone call with the hiring manager. Then, I went in for an in-person interview with the hiring manager and an HR person.

I applied online and then had a Teams interview with a hiring manager who asked about my background and education. After that, I was invited on-site for an in-person interview, which included lunch with the hiring manager and another senior executive. When the in-person interview started, there were three managers, but one left shortly after. After the interview, they took me to lunch, which was informal and enjoyable. What was strange was immediately after the interview, I got an email from HR with a breakdown of the company's 2022 benefits summary and a promise to be in touch about next steps. This was unusual as benefits are typically only disclosed when an offer is made. I followed up at the end of the week because I hadn't heard back, and the HR Rep responded immediately saying I was no longer being considered for the role. This felt misleading, like a bait and switch, to share benefits info without intending to offer the job. It was also disappointing to have to chase a rejection email. These actions seem like red flags for a toxic company culture. It seems like no opportunity was missed if a candidate isn't offered the role given this practice.
