I had two panel interviews and a coffee chat. The second interview was rescheduled last minute as I arrived, which was unprofessional. The interviewers seemed uninterested and read from scripts. One was hostile. I had to watch a safety video in the first interview, which was random. HR communication was poor, with interns barely replying. The last interview focused uncomfortably on my personal life and a connection I had, rather than my qualifications. I didn't follow up because of this, and was subsequently ghosted.

The pay offered was low compared to others, and they have a bad reputation as an employer, though the people themselves seemed nice. There isn't much future in the industry here, and no clear strategy. The office space and facilities are nice, and a recent reorganisation might be a positive. However, staff retention is poor.

The interview process started with a virtual recorded round, followed by an in-person face-to-face round. The topics covered included behavioral questions on leadership, safety, teamwork, conflict resolution, challenges, successful experiences, collaboration, initiative, time management, and organizational skills. There was also an introduction to yourself, the company, and the position, along with discussions about goals, plans, and designation.

The interview was split into 2 parts. First, I spoke with the team lead and a UK-based HR rep. Then, I had a second round with the team lead and two more senior people from the head office in China. The interviews weren't super technical, mostly asking about my past experience and CV/skills. It was alright, but they never brought up salary even when I asked in both rounds.
