Everything was online, and I had to record myself answering 4 questions. 2 were in French and 2 in English. I had 30 seconds to look at and think about the question before recording. For the first two, I could re-record if needed, but for the last two, I only got one shot. I haven't heard back yet, so I marked 'no' for getting an offer.

Behavioral

I had an interview request and spoke with the hiring manager and recruiter for about an hour. The recruiter's tone was a bit abrupt when they asked if I spoke French, which I don't, and it wasn't on my resume or mentioned in the job description, so I didn't foresee it being an issue. About a week later, I got a standard rejection email. I asked for feedback since I'm a student, but the recruiter sent back a generic reply, stating they lacked the time for individual feedback. This experience, as a student job-hunting during the pandemic, really revealed CN's company culture and values. They advertise opportunities for student learning and development, yet refusing to spend a couple of minutes offering constructive feedback, after I dedicated an hour to the interview, and possibly rejecting me for a reason they could have identified earlier (my French language skills), was quite disheartening.
