First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Club Z! Tutoring.
Math Tutor
The hiring process was straightforward. They looked into my background and previous work experience to see how it aligned with the needs of students. After this initial screening, I was matched with students within two weeks, and payment has always been timely.
- Could you describe your experience with teaching mathematics?
Tutor
The interview was pretty easy. They asked about my previous tutoring or teaching experience. The interviewer gave me a bad feeling though. First, when I asked a question, my speaker cut out briefly. I asked them to repeat their answer, and they got annoyed and rudely said, "I said NO." It was hard to tell much because their camera was off the whole time. Also, they said they'd email me a form to submit references, but I never got it. Honestly expected more given the positive reviews.
- Do you have previous experience with tutoring or teaching?
- Which days can you work?
Math Tutor
They start with a full criminal and education background check. Once that's done, there was a phone interview where we talked about my interest in tutoring and my background. If they liked that, I met the franchise owners for about an hour. It was a pretty chill conversation. We chatted about my math background, got to know me, and my teaching philosophy. Also talked about how to deal with their clients and how their system operates.
- Did this go as you expected?
- Do you think it was straightforward?
Area Director
Club Z! Tutoring does a great job explaining the process of owning a tutoring franchise. They also provided in detail information about my area! They want to make sure that the business is successful, and they have a franchise that works well with the Club Z! Brand.
