Had a good conversation with the company recruiter. It was very relaxed and conversational. When we wrapped up the interview, they told me I would hear from them either later that day or the next morning. They said they were going to set up a video call with one of the local store GMs. I never received a follow-up email or call. I called them back the next day since they offered me the opportunity to call or write with any questions in the spirit of 'full disclosure,' a phrase they used commonly. Nothing, no response. Not even a simple 'We've gone another direction' safe 'out' commonly used by companies.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process has several steps but moves fast if they have an opening. I had in-depth calls with HR and the CEO, who did a great job explaining the role, the company, and answering my questions. They really focused on ensuring it was a good mutual fit, which was different from typical retail or club pro fitting jobs. If they decided to move forward, I was flown to their HQ near Chicago (expenses covered). They were very accommodating with my schedule, and I was able to complete my visit in one day. There, I spent significant time with the Head of Recruiting, learning more about the company and getting a tour. I also met with the CEO and the Founder. I received an offer within a week.

I applied online and heard back in about a week about a phone interview with the recruiter. Then I talked to the CEO a week after that. After talking to the CEO, they mentioned I would hear back from the recruiter to discuss the specifics of the role, but I never did. Both the recruiter and the CEO were really nice, and I enjoyed chatting with them, though I wish I had heard back, even if it was just to say they decided to move forward with other candidates.

Overall great experience, they take you around the main facility and show you operations for what they do daily and where everything is. Go back into a directors office and do your very typical interview where you sit down and someone else is there with you. Once again very traditional. I highly recommend going through the process as they are very welcoming and insuring that they as well as you are a good fit together. I ended up declining my offer and it was as if they almost took offense to my decision and then starting asking questions that did not apply to the job or my decision. Great experience I guess just make sure you want to be in that line of work if you get an offer to keep everyone happy...
