This interview process had a few stages (an interview with the team and/or department lead, a case study, and an executive interview), and it was really streamlined and efficient. I got all my questions answered, and I left knowing what my day-to-day would be like and how I'd fit into the company culture.

I had a phone interview and then went into the office for an interview with some employees. In total, there were three rounds of meetings with people from the company. They reviewed my resume, gave me a grammar test, and asked general interview questions.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • They were really interested in how I could prove the quality of my work based on my resume.
  • Can you give specific examples from your projects and previous jobs to show the effectiveness of your efforts?

Behavioral

The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with a recruiter call, and then I went into the office for 4 separate 1-on-1 interviews with potential future colleagues and managers. The process was set out nicely and there was no confusion. During the interviews, they did not seem to collaborate at all, and I was asked similar questions from all of them. A few interviewers made me feel like they had never conducted an interview and asked all the standard situational interview questions that you could print out from the first page on Google. Talk about the most boring interview type ever. They didn't actually want to get to know me. This was a red flag. I actually asked questions about them instead and got some really short-winded responses. Long story short. The process was great. The interviews were not. The culture did not seem very fun or enjoyable (which is weird because sales is usually pretty fun) and I'm glad that I did not receive an offer.

Behavioral Technical Coding System Design

The interview process is about 1.5 hours and includes 3-4 parts: first, a chat with the CTO, then a behavioral interview with a senior engineer, followed by a technical interview with an engineer, and finally, some Q/A and a fit discussion with another engineer. As it's for a junior role, the technical part is quite lenient. Expect one easy LeetCode problem and one SQL question about database design and queries. There's also a take-home assignment, which should take around 1-2 hours, mainly focusing on React and front-end development, depending on your full-stack experience.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The conversation with the CTO was interesting; he inquired about my computer science interests.
