Growth Marketing Director
A recruiter reached out via LinkedIn with a message that really caught my eye, unlike the usual bulk messages. We had a great call where the purpose, vision, and impact of the role were clear. Two days later, I had a call with the hiring manager, which also went well. I was told there were two other strong candidates at the same stage and they wanted to move fast, which I appreciated. I then met with the hiring team and had some great conversations. Unfortunately, they decided not to move forward with me, which was a bummer. The TA leader was very responsive and helpful with interview prep and updates on the process. He even gave me a phone call with constructive feedback instead of an email, which I really appreciated. Overall, I thought it was a strong and professional interview process, and I enjoyed meeting everyone.
- How would you ensure you could help drive growth if the company was falling short on its pipeline goals?
Software Engineer
A recruiter initially contacted me about the position. Then, the hiring manager got in touch to discuss the role in more detail. Following that, I was given a typical take-home assignment through Github. After they reviewed my submission, I was invited for a 3 to 4 hour interview with team members, which was conversational. About a week later, I was asked for three references and calls were scheduled. On Monday morning, I got an automated rejection email, which seemed odd given the reference checks. I tried to confirm if it was a mistake but didn't hear back. However, one of my references mentioned an interviewer said the call wasn't needed as I was no longer being considered. That's how I found out for sure I wasn't getting the job. It felt disrespectful, similar to other experiences I've seen.
- Can you describe a project you were involved in building and designing?
- Regarding the take-home assessment, what led you to your specific decisions?
- For the take-home exam, what could have been improved, and what difficulties did you encounter?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was pretty average. I got through two interviews, and after each one, they said I'd be moving on. But then they totally ghosted me. I even sent follow-up emails about what was next. It would be cool if they could just let candidates know when the role is filled or they've moved on to others, especially if you made it past the first chat.
- Could you start by telling me a little about yourself?
Content Marketing Specialist
Had really good interviews with the marketing manager and a senior leader. It wasn't super fast-paced with questions, they seemed more interested in getting to know me and talking about the company and the job in a more relaxed, personal way. Overall, a great experience.
- Can you share some details about your previous work experiences?
