So, the interviews had three main parts: first, a chat with HR about my background and if I’d fit in. Then, an algorithmic round where I had to solve some problems, testing my data structures and logic. Finally, a practical part where I had to do stuff similar to actual daily work. It was pretty well laid out, gave a good sense of the job.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I went through all the interview stages, including meeting with the VP of Engineering and HR. There were more than four interviews in total, some remote and some onsite. It was a pretty good experience overall, the team was friendly and the discussions were interesting. But after the last interview with HR, I didn't hear back or get any feedback. No confirmation, rejection, or even a standard message like 'we're moving on with someone else.' I feel like candidates should get some kind of closure after putting in the time and effort for a process with multiple steps.

This whole thing was a complete waste of time, honestly. It was a really long process, with 6 interviews that were each an hour long, and I spent way more time than that preparing. The interviews themselves were okay, not super hard, and the interviewers seemed into it. BUT - it seems like the team wasn't on the same page, and the job they advertised wasn't what they were actually looking for. Plus, when I tried to get more details, they just wouldn't talk to me. That's not how you treat senior folks. Seriously, avoid this team.

I applied online and went through a recruiter call, a hiring manager call, and then a call with the hiring manager's leadership. The recruiting team was super responsive and professional. They even called with feedback after the last interview, which was way better than a generic email. Given how things are with recruiting right now, their quick response and professional handling of everything was really appreciated.
