First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CloudFactory.
Human Resources
I went through 3 interviews with the Manager, Product Manager, and Leadership. All of them focused on short and long term goals and personality. They spent a lot of time talking about my past experiences, which seemed important if they aligned with the company values and my goals.
- What are your aspirations for the future?
- Describe how you would handle a high-pressure scenario involving multiple teams.
Project Associate
It was a video interview followed by a chat with the Project leads. It was a really nice experience overall, with lots of behavioral questions, plus some about my studies and previous jobs. They also asked why I wanted to join and about my career plans.
- Could you start by telling me about yourself?
- What makes you feel you'd be a good fit for this position?
- What is your motivation for wanting to join our company?
Content Marketing Manager
The interview process was thorough, but I wish it had been faster. One of the recruiters lost one of my emails offering interview times along the process. I was pleased with most of their interview questions and the questions were relevant to the position. I made it to the final round of interviews after about four or five weeks and four interviews including one pannel interview.
- Why are you a good fit for this role?
Talent Acquisition Associate
The first chat with the recruiter went pretty smoothly until we got to talking about pay. When I asked about the salary range for the job, the recruiter said it was 'super private.' This seemed pretty weird and kind of a warning sign to me. Then, the recruiter asked me what I was looking to make. Because I've worked with international companies before and know that every place pays differently, I wasn't really keen on giving a specific number. But the recruiter pushed it, so I eventually gave them a range based on my past jobs. You could tell from how the recruiter reacted that my expectation was probably more than they were expecting. I tried to say I was open to discussing it, but it felt like they lost interest pretty fast after we talked about money, and then I didn't get the job. It makes me wonder why a company would hide their salary range unless they're trying to lowball people? Their lack of openness about pay seems like a bad sign. For anyone thinking of applying, I'd say be careful with this company. Their unwillingness to be upfront about pay might hint at bigger problems with how they treat and pay their employees.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- Could you describe your recruiting experience?
- What are your salary expectations?
