Started with a recruiter call, then had a virtual chat with the supervisor. They asked some basic things about my sales, design, and customer service background. It felt more like a conversation than a strict interview. They also answered all my questions regarding the role, pay, commission, sell rate, and what's expected.

I interviewed with Closet America, and it was a pleasant experience. It seems like a good company to work for. I got to the third round but wasn't hired. I got the standard form email without any feedback, even though I put a lot of effort into three interviews. The company appears to have grown from a small business into a large one, and their showroom is really impressive. The only negative I noticed was the lack of diversity in their senior leadership, which was exclusively white men. If I had been offered the job, the lack of gender and racial diversity in management might have been a deal-breaker for me.

Applied for Sales Support Rep, got a call the next day for a phone interview. Then met with the recruiter who seemed to really like me. He then suggested I'd be perfect for a Customer Service Supervisor role and had me interview for that right away with someone else. They said they'd let me know by Friday, but come Monday they said they were still finishing interviews and thanked me for waiting. I was hoping for a call or email before Christmas but they left me hanging. Got a generic email weeks later saying the Sales Support Rep job was filled and never heard back about the supervisor job they thought I'd be great for. They make you feel great during the interview, then ghost you over the holidays.

So first, you have a call from the recruiter, they’ll tell you if they're interested in you and want to have you come in for an interview. Then, there’s an in-person interview with the recruiter or HR Manager, this is where you really get to show them why you’re a good candidate. After that, some roles might have you meet with Directors & the CEO, but this isn't for everyone. If they do ask you back, it probably means you’re gonna get the job! After that, you just accept the offer and come in for your official orientation and on-boarding.
