Revenue Manager
I passed the first stage and was asked to do a case study. The case study entailed writing up a full business proposal pretending to be Uber. Having done a number of case studies over the years I've worked I can safely say this was the most time intensive one I have ever done and required 3 big ideas, Metrics, P&L, initiatives based on the metrics you had chosen and pre-mortem of each initiative. In total it took 2 days to complete. After submitting it I was rejected within a few hours and it seemed unlikely that the HM had in fact read it. I was then given no feedback which is the first time I have ever seen that for a case study. Despite pressing I heard nothing back.
- What are your top 2-3 impactful ideas for running Uber?
- Which output operating or financial metric is most critical to influence?
- What input metric is most powerful for moving the output metric?
Sales Manager
The interview process lacked a personal touch. Candidates were given a case study that, despite recommendations to spend no more than 3 hours, realistically required many hours to complete well. After submitting the case study, there was an initial interview, followed by a very impersonal rejection email. When initially applying, candidates receive an email with a case study without a prior call. After submitting the case study, a grading period of 3-4 days is communicated. No feedback was provided for the interview or the case study. The company appears to minimize human interaction in its recruitment, which could be a red flag regarding employee treatment.
- Tell me about an impactful action you took, your reasoning behind it, and the outcome.
- What was your motivation for undertaking a specific action, and what was its resulting impact?
- Describe an impact you made, explain your decision-making process, and the results achieved.
Sales Manager
the interview went well and I didn't have any issues. the interviewer was pleasant and approachable. She gave me a case study to work on, but it was a bit unclear and lacked specific instructions.
- Could you tell me what you know about our company?
