Case

I got a case study after applying and honestly, I'd say don't bother with this company. It felt super impersonal. The case study took hours, and the questions were so specific to their open roles that I'm pretty sure they just took my work. They had me write a LinkedIn message to candidates and then figure out how to reply to them. I also had to rank CVs against a job description using real candidate info (which they didn't even try to hide). I had to give my thoughts on sourcing candidates and do some math problems to find conversion rates. It's been almost 3 weeks and I still haven't heard back or gotten any feedback. Overall, a really bad experience, and I feel like I did free work.

So I applied and first thing was a take-home assignment with 5 questions about my experience, they were pretty detailed, so it felt like it replaced the initial recruiter call. Then, I had to do a sourcing case study to find 3 candidates for a vague job description. They said the vagueness was intentional even when I asked for clarification. After finishing these two things, I finally spoke to someone. I had to present my sourced candidates and explain my strategy. The interviewer was really focused on metrics and asked the same question multiple times, which was a bit strange. After that call, I had another take-home case study that took me a few hours. It covered building a referral program, sourcing templates, closing roles fast, handling a new interviewer who's rejecting too many people, critiquing their welcome page, creating a feedback system, prioritizing job openings, and analyzing some data. I sent that in and then got rejected without any feedback before I could have another call. It's kinda weird to have three different assignments before even having a proper conversation, especially when one of those was a presentation. The whole process felt a bit off, and I kind of wish I'd paid attention to the negative reviews.

Behavioral Presentation

I heard back about a month after applying. First, I had to fill out a form with 6 questions about my experience and work style. Two weeks later, I was invited to the next step: a 30-minute call where I had to find and present 3 ideal candidate profiles on LinkedIn. The interview itself went well, but I didn't fully grasp the company's idea of an 'ideal' candidate from the job description and LinkedIn profiles, so the profiles I found weren't good enough for the interviewer. I got rejected via an automated email with no feedback. I then emailed them asking for feedback since I invested a lot of time preparing and doing their tasks. I received feedback with a score of '2 out of 5' for the profiles I presented. I disagree with the low score, but ultimately, I don't think this is a team I want to join.
