The interview process involved a 30-minute initial phone screen where they explained the company and interview process before asking me questions. Then there was a Code Review exercise, which was an async PR Review and a take-home assignment that usually takes 25-60 minutes. After that, there was a Synchronous PR Interview for about an hour, followed by a System Design Interview for about an hour. Then a Hiring Manager Interview for about an hour, and finally an Executive Interview for about 30 minutes. My experience with the phone screen was good, it was comfortable and useful from an interviewer's POV, and they let me ask questions throughout. The interviewer was knowledgeable. The code review platform was easy to use, but the assignment itself was tricky. I had to spend 40 minutes setting up an environment to run the code locally, which was disappointing as I wasn't warned about it. Tailoring my feedback was hard because the rubric was small and vague, with no guidance on their review style. I also didn't know the seniority level I was interviewing for or their PR review conventions. They never even gave me a pass or fail result, which was disappointing after spending hours on it.

This makes me question joining such a company, as it suggests they might quickly dismiss employees when things don't go as planned.
