The initial interviews were great. The VPs seemed to be looking for new blood to help change to a performance culture. Their questions were not well organized and more theoretical. Unless you read whatever blog post they just read it isn't likely you would understand the question. I felt like they were the kind of leaders that can generate short-term results, but will drain you after a year.

The interview process was really well put together and thorough. They communicated really well during the whole thing. I started with an HR phone screen, then had a chat with the hiring manager (who is a group PM). After that, I had a half day of interviews. This included a panel interview with some other PMs, a triad interview with the product designer and eng manager, a culture interview with a senior exec, and then a final interview with the hiring manager. I didn't end up getting the job, but I did appreciate the feedback HR gave me. It made me feel good about the company.

I was referred to Clio by a friend who works there, having previously been a PM in legal tech. My first contact was a recruiter call where I discussed my PM and legal tech experience. The recruiter seemed unsure about available Product roles and how my skills might fit. She promised to follow up on openings but then ghosted me. After 2-3 months, she finally responded, stating they weren't hiring US-based PMs outside California, which confused me since my friend mentioned colleagues in my state. This felt like a waste of time, especially as I'd offered to relocate to California.
