Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clio.
Payroll Manager
An internal recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and was super communicative and empathetic. We had an initial chat, then I spoke 1:1 with the director of the department who was really great. After that, I was asked to do a skills assessment. I decided to withdraw from the process at this point because my personal circumstances changed.
- What is your experience in leading and developing a team?
- How do you approach being an experienced and empathetic people leader?
Accountant
I had a phone call interview that was pretty strange. The person interviewing me barely asked about my qualifications or what I've done before. Mostly, they spent the time talking about themselves and their work at the company. They did briefly touch on the role and what the person in that job would do.
- What are my salary expectations?
Payroll Specialist
Clio's interview process was very thorough. It started with a recruiter phone screen, then a 1:1 with the hiring manager, followed by a panel interview where I met the whole team. They also gave me a quick excel test. They made sure to leave plenty of time for me to ask questions, which they answered in great detail. Now that I'm hired, I can see they were honest in their answers, which I really appreciate.
- What is your understanding of Clio?
- What motivates your interest in joining the Clio team?
- What are your career development objectives?
