Manager
The interview process was terrible and very disrespectful from HR. CHAI should be embarrassed. There were 4 interview rounds: HR screening, a technical case study, a technical interview with the manager, and an interview with the director. After that, they contacted my current manager (who didn't even know I was applying) behind my back for references. Then, they just ghosted me. The only good thing was realizing I would never want to work for a company that treats people so poorly.
- Tell me about yourself and your experience related to this role.
- Can you discuss your technical skills and how they apply to this position?
Manager
I got feedback two weeks after the interview, which I know isn't always the case, but it was super vague and didn't really say much. When I tried to ask follow-up questions, I heard nothing back. It was a bummer because I put a lot of time and effort into preparing for this, especially at a senior level.
- Can you elaborate on your past experiences?
- Could you walk me through a specific scenario you encountered?
- How do you approach situations requiring specific competencies?
Manager
It was a four-round interview process, all done remotely. The first round was with HR, where they asked some basic questions about why I'm interested in the role and my background. After that, I got a project/business case to work on. I had to create an Excel breakdown, a presentation deck, and a memo, and I had 48 hours to submit it. It took me about 3-4 hours to complete. Round two was with a Senior Manager, and it was a behavioral/technical interview focusing on my knowledge of the role and my expertise in areas like finance, project management, and dealing with stakeholders. The third round was a case interview, led by the interviewer. They gave me a basic scenario and asked a mix of quantitative and qualitative questions that I had to calculate or discuss verbally. Finally, the fourth round was with a VP/Director, and it was more of a behavioral and fit assessment.
- Why are you motivated to work with CHAI?
- Have you worked internationally before?
- What is your preferred working style?
