First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clinton Foundation.
Manager
The interview process was long, about two months, with four rounds in total, and it included a written assignment. Besides the fact that it was a long process, I had a fairly pleasant experience until the end. I had to submit a timed exercise. I put a lot of time and effort into it. At that stage, I never heard anything again until a month later, in which I received about two short sentences saying that I had not been chosen to move to the next round. I asked for feedback, which I did not receive. It was disappointing to go so far, and put so much time into an organization, and not receive any type of feedback at all.
- Can you describe the type of support you appreciate from supervisors?
Manager
After submitting my CV for the Manager role, I first had a 1-hour phone chat about my consulting experience and skills. Then, I was sent a forecasting test. The plan was that doing well on this test would lead to an interview with a line manager. I was told they were very interested in my profile, partly because some of my former colleagues work there. I later heard I passed the forecasting test. However, they decided not to proceed with my application because they felt I lacked significant healthcare experience. This was surprising because healthcare experience wasn't listed as a requirement in the job description, and my CV clearly showed my experience, so I shouldn't have even been considered if that was a dealbreaker. I expected a more thorough process from the recruiting team.
- Can you tell me about your experience and skills?
- Complete an Excel-based forecasting test.
Assistant Manager
The interview process was great, with really interesting and thoughtful people. The questions were insightful and respectful. Overall, it was a good experience. Be ready with your own questions, and know your history.
- What are your five-year career aspirations?
