First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CliniComp.
Product Owner
I applied to CliniComp in June and heard back about a month later for an interview. After three rounds, I was told I'd hear back by the end of the week. When I followed up that Friday, they said they were still deciding and I was a top candidate. A week later, still no word. I waited another week and they told me the job was closed and I should keep looking. I'm not sure if they chose someone else and were just keeping me interested or if the role was actually closed for other reasons. It felt a bit misleading and disappointing because I had to chase updates each time and felt like I had a shot. I wish they'd made a decision before I spent hours preparing and interviewing, and that they'd given more updates so I wasn't left in the dark.
- Can you share your background as a product owner?
Software Architect
My interview experience was really smooth. A recruiter reached out first and did a good job telling me about the company's benefits and history. Then, the hiring manager contacted me. They asked about my technical background and gave me more info about the company's products. The on-site interview was scheduled for a week later. I got to speak with some really talented folks from Clinicomp. Even though I was from a different industry, they were respectful, and I felt comfortable sharing who I am and what I've done.
- Were you asked to address some mySQL-related questions, covering both programming and conceptual aspects?
Data Scientist Intern
I got an email from a recruiter about 2 weeks after applying to do an online assessment. After passing that, I had a 30-minute phone call to talk about my resume and experience. The last round was an hour and a half, which included 30 minutes of coding using Data Science libraries and some technical talks about my past work and machine learning.
- Were there any basic behavioral questions about YouTube?
- Can you use pandas and NumPy with the provided dataset?
- What about loss functions and plotting?
Software Engineer
The interview lasted about 40 minutes and involved three interviewers, including the hiring manager. I was asked about my past work and academic projects. There was a specific question about how the Java garbage collector handles large objects. I was also given a C program and asked to determine its time complexity.
- Could you explain the workings of the Java garbage collector for large objects?
- Determine the time complexity of the provided C code.
