It was pretty easy at the start, but then the HR person stopped responding and was unprofessional. Nobody told me about what was next or officially ended the process, even after months and meeting over 5 people in 3 interviews.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I went through 3 interview rounds, starting with HR, then a panel of staff not on the team, and finally the team members and hiring manager. Before the last interview, I had a 3-hour exercise that was pretty easy and directly related to the job duties. Everything was done remotely. The first two interviews were great, with friendly and engaged staff. However, the last interview staff seemed distracted, which wasn't a good look. What really stung was being ghosted after investing so much time. It's been over 2 months since the final interview and I still haven't heard anything, even after following up with HR multiple times. It takes minimal effort to send an email saying I didn't get the job, especially after making candidates go through multiple rounds and a long exercise.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process involved four steps. It kicked off with a 30-minute phone chat with the associate director of programs operations. Next, there was a 1-hour interview with the program director. Following that, a 2-hour written exercise was assigned, which basically asked how I'd approach building and leading my portfolio. The process wrapped up with a 1-hour final panel interview. It was quite different from what I expected, and I had a very different experience from what some reviews say about communication and efficiency. After the first round, there was a 19-day silence. And now, after the final round, it's been nearly a month with no response, not even to my check-in emails. I'm guessing I didn't get the job since it's been so long and the posting is gone from the careers page. After putting in the time for four rounds, I really wish they'd at least let me know I'm not moving forward.
