Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ClickUp.
Solutions Engineer
I had a 30-minute video call with the hiring manager. She was a bit late and ended early. It felt like she didn't want to be there and just asked random questions about my background. She only left a few minutes for my questions, and I managed to ask one. Two days later, I got a rejection email. It was a really bad interview experience.
- Can you walk me through your career journey?
Solutions Engineer
ClickUp's interview process was structured, respectful, and insightful, with thoughtful questions, clear communication, and a genuine focus on collaboration, impact, and real-world problem solving that made candidates feel valued throughout. There was an extra step in the process involving a video demonstration before presenting before their team.
- Describe a situation where you had to thoroughly understand a customer's workflow and develop a scalable solution from it.
Solution Engineer
The process was great and they gave feedback quickly, which really shows the company's values. They emailed and communicated a lot, and I got feedback after every step. It started with a recruiter call, then a hiring manager call, a small assignment, a feedback call with a manager, a panel interview, and finally an interview with a VP. I got the offer call within 24 hours.
- Could you share a bit about yourself and your long-term career aspirations over the next decade?
