First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ClickUp.
QA Engineer
The application had relevant questions for the QA Engineer position. Scheduled a phone call and had such a pleasant interview with the QA Manager. I learned a lot about the company. Its core values, culture, the team, and what to expect from the job. After the interview, I got a mini-project and I was very disappointed with the tasks. The ONLY one out of three was related to the QA Engineer position. Just want to let people know that; if you want to work for this company, be prepared to take a typing test and become a "video blogger ", because they are going to ask you to videotape yourself explaining the ClickUp feature(s). Therefore negative experience for the tasks that are not related to the QA Engineer position.

Quality Assurance Engineer
I was submitted by recruiter Chris Vasquez and interviewed via Zoom with Zach, the QA manager. Then, I spent 5-6 hours over two days to complete their 'mini' project. The recruiter contacted me after the project, and I was told I would be contacted for the final round, but after 1.5 days, I found out via email that I was not qualified. I feel like I met and exceeded the qualifications, and it's funny because the job description didn't have many qualifications to match. This company wastes candidates' time by getting free ideas to improve their apps through this 'mini' project. I read reviews before my interview, but I stayed positive and went through this tedious process, which was nothing but a waste of time. I could have used those hours to find a better opportunity with an employer who knows what they want.
- Can you propose an alert solution for managers regarding completed tasks within the app, where more alerts are preferred?
- After setting up automation triggers in the app, please record a Loom video explaining your steps and the rationale behind your chosen method.
- What are your thoughts on priority and severity regarding issues?
Quality Engineer
It was a good interview process. I had a recruiter call first, then I spoke with the Director of QA. They communicated well and seemed to value my time. I didn't get the job, but they let me know what was going on, which was nice. How a company treats you during interviews is a good sign of how it'll be to work there.
