The interview process had 4 main rounds plus an extra round for some reason. First, I had a chat with a technical manager for an hour. Then, a 1-hour session to build a UI component, which could be anything from a carousel or paginator to a tabs manager or canvas-related component. After that, there was a 1-hour System Design round where I had to design APIs for a given page and discuss the pros and cons of my choices. Finally, I spoke with an Engineering Director for a round covering algorithms and data structures on trees and class components. I had a good experience talking to the people. The recruiter was nice and straight forward. I didn't get feedback. Overall, the process felt a bit long and tiring for my case, so I'd rate it neutral.

Behavioral Technical Coding System Design

We had 4 meetings. First was a short intro. Then a Behavioral and Culture one. Next, 2 meetings that were focused on code and components' design. It was a real-life interview, not those tricky questions, just real life examples in a nice atmosphere. Lots of info was shared during a presentation meeting. Coding interviews were done using an online coding tool.

Behavioral Coding

I interviewed with the Growth team. The initial calls with the recruiter were friendly. Then I had a call with the hiring manager (who was recently hired by the company). This person’s style of interviewing was awful and rude. He tried to do an Amazon style LP questions for the first 30 mins. On one of the topics - my response was “as a SWE I hate cutting corners and wouldn’t compromise on the quality of the code” to which he replied “here we cut corners to get it done at any cost”. Even though I did very poorly in the coding exercise. I’m glad I won’t be working under him or this company.
