Customer Solutions Specialist
The interview process had three main parts. First, I spoke with the recruiter. Then, I completed a take-home assessment. After that, there was a multi-part interview where I was shown a process and then had to teach it back. This was followed by a mock phone call, and then I talked to the hiring manager. It was a pretty cool experience, I liked it all.
- What's your approach to dealing with an upset customer?
Customer Support Representative
It was a three-part process: first, an online assessment that included data manipulation tasks and writing email responses to simulated customer issues, with a two-hour time limit. Second, a phone screening where they asked basic interview questions. Finally, a video interview that involved a role-play scenario with an upset customer, a 'learn and teach' segment, and an interview with the hiring manager.
- Can you share an instance of handling a challenging customer and how you managed it?
- Tell me about a time you received constructive criticism and how you responded.
- When have you taken the lead on a project and demonstrated initiative?
Customer Support Representative
I applied online and the recruiter contacted me. They sent a take-home exercise before any phone call, with instructions to complete it an hour before a scheduled conversation via a provided link. However, the link was broken. I emailed the recruiter about this, and they said they would forward my answers to the team. Four days later, I had a phone interview with the manager, who was a bit late but it was fine. I asked about feedback on the take-home exercise during the interview, but it seemed it was never graded. Two hours after the phone interview, I received a 'Thank you letter.' I'm no longer interested, but I appreciate the quick response. Please respect applicants' time; don't waste it if you can't grade the exercise.
