I had two interviews for two different positions, both at Cleveland Clinic. The first interview was a phone screen with two managers. They talked fast and I didn't get much detail about the day-to-day of the job. I asked questions but was still unsure. The next interview was an all-day panel interview with leaders and pharmacists. It was similar to the first, not much clarity. I had applied for two positions, and they knew I had interviewed for another one at the main campus on back-to-back days. I even tried to save the company money by scheduling them close together and staying at a cheaper hotel. After the interviews, they told me to think about it and let them know which position I preferred. I chose the cardiology pharmacist role because Cleveland Clinic was top-ranked for cardiology at the time. I was offered the lymphoma/multiple myeloma position but didn't take it for various reasons. Ironically, I ended up working in Cleveland and gained experience in lymphoma/multiple myeloma, which I enjoyed. Recently, I applied for another Lymphoma/Multiple Myeloma Pharmacist position at the same site and was rejected quickly. Then I applied for a Leukemia/BMT position because I was impressed with Dr. Hetty Carraway, who was on my original lymphoma/multiple myeloma interview panel. I've also gained experience in leukemia and allogeneic stem cell transplant. The talent acquisition representative told me it's the same hiring manager and he wouldn't consider my application, even though he had initially asked me to schedule a pre-screening call for the Leukemia/BMT position and gathered details about my past applications.

The interview process I experienced was incredibly pleasant. From the start, the communication was clear and timely, with all necessary details provided well in advance. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly, which immediately put me at ease. The interviewer outlined the structure of the interview upfront, which helped me understand what to expect. Throughout the conversation, the questions were thoughtful and relevant to the role, and it was clear the interviewer was genuinely interested in my responses. The interview felt like a two-way exchange, allowing me to ask questions about the role and the company, with honest and detailed answers provided. The professionalism and courtesy of the interviewer were evident throughout, and I appreciated the positive reinforcement and constructive feedback given. At the end, the next steps in the process were clearly explained, and I received prompt follow-up communication. Overall, it was a well-structured and respectful interview experience.

It was the usual questions. Stress-free and casual. I had the interview with my boss to be and their boss at the same time. Kind of weird because usually you interview with a boss and then you are interviewed by their boss if they like you. Then I got the offer.
