First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller.
Payroll Specialist
It started with an online video interview, and if I passed that, I had a panel interview. The panel had three interviewers: two from the department I'm applying to and one HR recruiter. The interview had about ten questions and lasted around thirty minutes.
- What do you know about the clerk's office?
Family Court Specialist
The interview process was great! There were 2 individuals from the division and one individual from HR. The HR representative actually told me ahead of time what kind of questions to expect so I was pretty prepared.
- Tell me about your previous work history that's relevant to this role.
- Can you describe a time you took initiative at a previous job?
- How do you manage your organization when you have different tasks to complete?
Court Clerk
This was the worst interview process I've ever been through. I usually do great in interviews and have experienced many different kinds, from one-on-one to having multiple interviewers and it being just me. This process was rough because now they make you submit interview questions on video. You have to sign up on the website they pick, get used to how it works, and then record yourself answering the questions. And you only get two chances to record and send in your final answer.
- Can you describe yourself?
- What would your perfect workday look like?
Deputy Clerk
I was called in to interview with the Director of Operations, Manager, and Assistant Manager. There were only 2 applicants called in. The other girl had no experience. I went in and they asked me questions. I received a call the same day, first from the manager asking if I was sure I could use their computer system, which I told her I was pretty sure I could having used several other systems in other Clerk's Offices with no issues. Then later from HR telling me I got the job.
- What qualifications do you have?
- Why do you feel you are the right person for this job?
